    This airport has a huge abandoned section with what looks like a whole T-rex skeleton in it.

      They just re-did the airport this year. Not exactly abandoned.

      Fun fact: Carnegie Natural History Museum in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh houses the first ever T-Rex skeleton ever found.

      Pittsburgh. Amazing city, great people, pretty above average airport.

      After going down the rabbit hole when I visited a couple years ago, lots of dinosaur skeletons are incomplete. With only certain parts being genuine, and even those need repair. They recreate the rest to match. Which is still awesomely cool, but makes so much sense when you think about the possibility of something like that lasting for hundreds of millions of years without damage or missing pieces. I can’t even buy furniture from Amazon without missing pieces today, and they supposedly know what they’re doing.

      Came home for the first time since they re-did the airport. I missed the click-clack, T-Rex, Franco, and George that mentally signaled “home.”

      Was super nice though

      People used to throw coins and dollars onto the platform it’s standing on like it was some sort of “wishing skeleton.”

      Next season on The Pitt, a patient crushed by the dinosaur skeleton at PIT.

      A lot of folks in Pittsburgh aren’t happy that they haven’t moved the skeleton to the new part of the airport. I’m one of them!

      They’ll probably find somewhere for it. It’s a staple of the Pittsburgh Airport before the new renovations. Passed it every time before taking the train to and from the terminal. They moved the Franco Harris statue that was right by it but that is a much smaller statue. The T Rex was cooler though

      Just went through here for the first time in a decade. I was sad not going through the train tunnels and walking past my old prehistoric buddy. New terminal is nice though.

      Pittsburg! When I lived up there I always liked seeing the skeleton. Looks like they moved the ‘immaculate reception’ statue too. That’s a shame

      Pittsburgh. They should’ve left it alone. The renovation made things more inconvenient

      Do you still go down that escalator to get to the train or is that obsolete now
