I think it’s partly because men’s clothes on women tend to just be loose and baggy. But women’s clothes on men tend to fit wrong and be too tight in some places and too loose in others, and as result look misshapen rather than just loose fitting.

Generally, female clothes are made specifically to fit female forms and do not have male forms in mind, even the effeminite ones. How about instead of trying to shove a male in feminine clothing never designed to fit his shape and style, cho I thing is made that fits both? I tend to think about ancient clothes that sometimes look similar on both men* and women, but still designed to properly fit.
*(Fun fact: Ever heard of a were man? That’s a male man.)

because nothing is worse than being feminine-passing for a man in a sexist culture. we got over women wearing pants being seen as something scandalous – altho even my mom remembers a time when women were not supposed to wear pants to work or any “serious” place where I live – time to use a skirt to free the balls haha
