The double standard is glaring. Politics is sports is only deemed divisive when it challenges the status quo

Kaepernick sits on his butt during a song and people get so mad he’s blackballed from the sport.
Multiple QBs show their love for the most corrupt, most hateful, filthiest human being in living memory and everyone’s like hey, free speech.
Make it make sense.

Black people make up 14% of the US population. Putting the burden of Trump on them is mathematical crayon eating. White men did this.

People need to stop trying to manufacture consent of this shit. Adults, stop going to the games. Adults, stop streaming the games. Democrats hold rallies at the institutions and publicly shame them. That’s all that needs to be done.
What we are not going to do, is put this fight on the backs of babies that just graduated high school. It doesn’t matter what batcrap crazy fascists are doing to their kids. That’s not the model to follow.
…..or better idea. Ask the professional sports players to do it. Since many of them can afford to shut the season down and still not starve, and their bills will be paid.

To be fair this is a singular professional athlete, who has already made his money. It’s different from an 18-19 year old kid just starting to step onto the big stage.
I understand the point of using the leverage we have, but i think it’s unfair to ask young kids to be leading the charge in this way.

Asking a bunch of 17-18 year olds to lead essentially an economic boycott across the South is a lot different than one multimillionaire introducing the President.
How about all the adults asking high school kids to take the lead show some receipts of themselves quitting their jobs/moving out of the South/refusing clients or contracts from the Southern states partaking in gerrymandering. We over index on the importance of celebrities when it has always been regular degular people who have led political movements in this country.

Absolutely wild that a publicist would let their client associate with a paedophile. Dude has to really be wanting it. Fucking gross

No college athlete, black or white, is going to pass up a bag because of politics. Outwardly racist Ol’ Miss will have their pick of black athletes.

Nah, when a white athlete does anything political, it’s free speech. On the other end, depending on the shade of brown, it will go from disruptive to insiting violence.

I understand it is hard to tell people to speak up because they lose sponsors since honestly the nfl aint really worried about us like that. Kapernick unveiled it for us with that controversy but unfortunately people be lacking dignity

Maybe they aren’t that interested in boycotts. They’re rich young athletes, not exactly living the life of your average person.
