I don’t know the exact year, but the bike places it between 1948 and the early 50s.
They were heading out for a camping expedition, fully loaded with a single-wheel trailer attached to the back to carry all their canvas gear.
I don’t know the exact date of the photo, but the bike is a BMW R24. It was the very first model BMW produced after WWII, and was only manufactured between December 1948 and May 1950, which gives a pretty good clue of the era!
