Once I had a love and it was a gas. Soon turned out, had a hunk of glass.
Ford’s integrated manufacturing produced its one car glass under the brand name Carlite. At one time it was the largest glass producer in the world. The plant in MN was in St. Paul. The sand used for the glass was mined from the land below the plant.
We have some of that too! I don’t know where my dad got it, but he’s got a huge green hunk and a blue hunk. I know one he found in the Mississippi in S. Minneapolis when he was a kid. I’ll have to ask him!
