Why do they look around after catching the pray? Making sure bo other predator is around?

The saddest part of nature is that the babies are first to die.

Babies of prey animals (deer, buffalo, warthogs, giraffe) etc. are the easiest target to catch.

Babies of predator animals (tigers, lions , cheetah, hyena, wild dogs etc.) are the first to be killed by competing predators to eliminate competition.

Looking for the potential 3rd party because the game was already over

    5. That deer was so small in comparison to the tiger that I thought it was a hare. The deer that is, not the tiger.

Nature is fucking brutal. Poor little fella, I always feel bad ,but on the flip side..tiger needs to survive too and might have cubs to feed. Harsh reality is most do not have pleasant deaths at all.

When people tell me hunting is cruel I always want to point out that it’s probably the most humane way that animal would have died.

I’d most certainly rather be shot than be eaten alive. Nature is not generally kind.

    8. First watch I could have sworn I saw a guy fishing on the banking when the tiger showed up. Second watch showed it to be a fallen tree.

    9. First watch, I thought there was somebody standing there casually fishing while the action was happening behind them.

    10. God animals are such…animals. This is what you should consider when someone tells you the “natural” way of the world is better. Sometimes there’s merit but very frequently we have collective amnesia about how nature is constantly trying to eat itself in the most viscous and violent way possible.

    11. The tiger stopped to look around and see if anyone else saw his impressive capture of a baby.

    12. Curious where he went from there. No way he just sat down and proceeded to it. Tiger would have to get it to a more secure location

I feel bad for the fawn, but this is nature. The tiger deserves to survive just as much as the fawn did.

I have a smaller version living in my house that does this with rabbits, squirrels, mice. It’s almost the exact same

Law of the jungle! That’s nature for you. Its hard to be sorry when I’m comfortably sitting on my chair, I can’t begin to understand and know, sympathising would be weird and I’m not gonna pretend its a “aww that’s sad” kind of situation, it’s pretentious and patronising. But wow that Tiger can hunt! That’s why they’re feared!

Looks like Tiger is baiting his prey. Catch the baby, look for Mom. Idk, just looks like a 2 for 1 deal:
