    1. Such a simple structure. Seems like it might be less expensive to demolish and rebuild.

    2. How do they accomplish this? Do they just jack up one part a few inches, stick a crate under, jack up another part 6 feet away, stick a crate under and repeat around the house adding a new layer each time around?

    3. Legit thought this was 200 pallets at first, and legit thought it must be since it is Florida after all. They don’t call it the Freedumb state for no reason.

    4. I forgot were FL coasts artifically expanded and now that stuffs goin back into the ocean?

This is such a normal thing to see in Australia. I lifted mine 2years ago for a build under and to avoid flooding- which is very common. We use “Stys” or “Cribs” which look like Jenga blocks. They use hydraulic truck jacks to do the raising.

    6. Damn, Florida homeowner insurance must be nuts if this is a cheaper option

    7. This is just the “cribbing” to raise the house while they build the new structure underneath.

I always dreamed have my house like this built n a ship hull nestled in the ground. When it floods, the hull will float the house and yard on top of the water with anchor chain giving slack so it don’t floating too far away.

    9. What I don’t understand is, what’s the end-game here? Are we adding fill and the house is going to stay up there? Or what?

    10. At what point do you acknowledge that maybe this isn’t the best place to have your house?
