There are certain hobbies that I genuinely have no idea how certain people find and get into and think to themselves yes this is the one. This is my identity from this point on.
Cave diving and people who are into trying the super spicy foods. Not even like hot taste food but like this is over 10 million on the heat level it’s my jam kinda spice.

In my youth I did a lot of caving, and I did a lot of diving. I have never wanted to do both together. It’s incredibly dangerous.

Cave diving is fun when done safly.
I have been doing casual cave diving every few years since I was about 6 years old.
You dont have to go to super dangerous locations and you can come with a guide and proper equipment.
You call the meteorological and geological services of your country to make sure there will be no fluds or earth quakes expected and you go and have fun.
People who die are usually doing something very wrong.

I want to do an easy one still.

How I feel knowing I have no money to do anything fun. Is cave diving expensive?

I am claustrophobic, I like open spaces, i’m clumsy and the opposite of sure-footed.
So i’m completely unadapted to go caving, yet the one time I went it was awesome. Completely new and different from everything I knew.
Very much not for me, but super glad I experienced it.
I will never understand the appeal to look down upon someone else’s passion when it doesn’t even impact you
