Y’know the thing that always bothers me is that mlitary doctrine looses the idea of a curas for just 100 years they look and see the old armors or renaissance, baroque, 18c napoleonic curasiers see the bullet dents signifying that armor protected against bullets… And decided to use crappy looking straight amateur-work plates.
Like i understand trench armor in ww1 that was a shoddy work cobbled up on the go in a desperate bid to provide some form of rotection. But this is post-war and ppl could afford more professional armoring. How did nobody just thaught to build modern 20th century curasier breastplate.
