You could make the same post about the muslims during the previous centuries. Or the visigoths before them. Or the romans before that. The only conquerors of that region that didn’t fought between themselves were the carthaginians and probably because they didn’t have enough time to do it
Luckily for them, the Iberian muslims were as disorganized if not more, which resulted in both christian and muslims sometimes allying with each other in order to defeat their religious bretherens
To quote the Hulk at a later date: “These are confusing times.”
And on the other side you have the Taifas. Who are exactly the same
One of the main reasons why the Reconquista was successful, was the bickering between the Muslims themselves. If they would have stayed united, then the Reconquista wouldn’t have been very successful.
