It may not have any sexual aspects, but it does represent a sexual organ

Almost all of her paintings look like fannies, in the British sense of the word

No, she refuted EROTICISED aspects/readings, just because it isn’t **erotic** doesn’t mean it isn’t a vag/ass

    4. I doubt that she refuted it seriously, I learned the word “yonic” while learning about o’keefe

    5. How long do you think it is socially acceptable to admire this piece? Like would you get asked to leave after half an hour?

I know she always said it’s not pussy, but I’m convinced she was honestly just ahead of her time and was a lifelong rage baiter

Georgia O’Keefe’s paintings are often described as sexual. She always said they weren’t. They are. Of course they are. Either sub-consciously or overtly, they clearly are. We’re all not idiots, you know.

What’s mildly interesting to me is that OP is rolling up to art museums without ever having heard of Georgia O’Keeffe.

Of course that’s absolutely O’K! Everyone should spend more time in museums, engaging with the beautiful, the unusual, and everything in between.

    9. My campus dining hall had a room with Georgia Okeefe paintings in it. We met people for dinner in the “Vagina Room” all the time.

She’s the first artist I really enjoyed and admired as a kid. Not just for her art but because it sounded like she had a cool life from what I knew about her. Obviously I wasn’t thinking about vulvas in 4th grade. I just thought she had a really great way of showing that there’s a whole world that exists within one flower. So she helped me see the world differently.

If it’s supposed to be art, then it’s open to interpretation by the viewer.

This isn’t even the most egregious O’keefe painting. in her defense, i suspect it’s just nature being nature and her perspectives and style just amplified the visual similarities. They are similar organs with similar function after all. See also; tons of orchid and lily photographs.

Does it look like an ass or vagina?

      *Yes?*

      Oh, it’s an O’Keeffe.

    14. The artist? You mean Georgia O’Keefe? Who painted almost nothing but vagina-coded flowers?

“The artist” like Georgia O’Keefe isn’t one of the most influential contemporary artists of the modern era.

    16. Even without looking at the placard, I was wondering if this was by Georgia O’Keefe?

    17. I’m pretty gay and don’t think it is taking about my own affairs but all I can see are reproductive organs.
