Ms. Fern sounds like she might have ADHD. Especially losing interest in something she was passionate about.

I looked up Al Morgenstern, and it seems like there was an actor with that birthname who had a modest TV acting career under the name [Morgan Sterne](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0605147/?ref_=nmbio_ov_bk). There’s definitely a resemblance and the dates would line up.

My grandmother went to Marywood College in Scranton, too. She wanted to be in theater but she dropped out and married my scoundrel grandfather.
