      Soon AI will be visually and audibly indistinguishable from the real thing. I already find myself questioning what’s real and human made when it comes to art and music, but then we’re going to have to question literally everything we see on TV, on the news, etc. What a shit show we’ve made for ourselves.

      It was just a random kind of thing that landed but rendering individual strands of spaghetti plus the way a person, especially someone with big lips, eats spaghetti is definitely a challenge.

      Remember the commercial for Everything Sauce?

      So…now it’s able to generate :

      – 25s of Will Smith NOT eating pasta, barely moving, not making any complex movements

      – People talking in an exaggerated manner, like a speech therapist showing a 2yo how to pronounce stuff

      – One half second of Smith putting pasta in his mouth, quickly cutting to hide the end of the movement

      – One second of ultra-close-up of his mouth uncannily swallowing pasta that is barely less unsettling than the original videos, again abruptly cut short

      In other words it got better at hiding things it still can’t do.

      This is my prediction: AI will make what you view through a screen so indistinguishable from reality that there will be a large exodus from social media because the only reliable way to know if something is real or not is to see it with your own eyes.
