Feels like a violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment to say “we will never audit you or your families interests ever again”.

    2. PassengerNo2259 on

Donny is no longer being audited so he can finally release his tax returns.

    3. USA is no longer a democracy. It’s a corporation owned and run by the Trump crime family. Shame that nobody has the courage or will or means to oust them.

The US system of government was failing Americans and now it’s completely broken.

    4. Hopefully the next president uses some of his presidential immunity to void the shit out of all this. Why shouldn’t his sons be audited?

    5. SonOfJokeExplainer on

Goddammit can we just burn it all down and start over with some smart protections in place against shit like this in the future

    6. I hope one day in the future someone plans a heist to steal from the Trump family.

    7. Well folks your third world leader has completely emptied your treasury and controls the tax dept the justice dept and the FBI and courts.
So much for land of the free. You’re all being fleeced by a despot dictator thief.

    8. Any candidate that makes a campaign note to make this orange shit stain of a family repay everything they’ve stolen has my vote.

      Wooohooo!
The corruption is blatant, brazen, painfully obvious…
      And what can we do?
Drop our drawers, bend over, and try not to clinch up!

    10. Well since he’ll no longer be under audit then I guess he can now release all his tax returns!

    11. At this point, there’s no valid reason that trump shouldn’t suffer from the worst possible case of main character syndrome

This is exactly the sort of corruption the checks and balances and impeachment process defined in the Constituon were supposed to prevent.

The Republican party has destroyed all sense of ethics in this country. This is a true low point in the history of the United States.

    13. This just formalizes what has been true since he “won” the election. He is untouchable via American law. He has just been grifting 24/7 since he got back into office and no legal mechanism has even pretended to try and stop him.

The only way he will face justice is through a disease or a random patriot willing to sacrifice their own life.

It’s not a settlement, there’s no record of a settlement according to the judge.

    15. dogmatum-dei on

Lol. Trump can just use the IRS – OUR TAX DOLLARS as his family’s piggy bank and republicans are GOOD with this so long as BROWN people are being persecuted.

    16. Immediate_Thought656 on

There was no settlement! Judge literally said there was no settlement of record.

“Williams late Monday formally agreed to close the case, but criticized the manner in which the controversial litigation came to an end since Trump’s lawyers didn’t say in court that there was a settlement.

“Because the Notice does not reference any settlement or include a stipulation of settlement, there is no settlement of record,” the judge wrote.”

Please stop it already. I can’t take any more of this criminality. All being done in broad daylight and in defiance of all reason.

    18. sophietehbeanz on

Can we just take him to court for misappropriation of funds? Like isn’t this a cause for impeachment?

    19. DeaddyRuxpin on

Cool, so his taxes are no longer being audited so he will finally release them right? I mean he has spent 12 years claiming the only reason he hasn’t released them is because they were being audited by the IRS. He wouldn’t lie to us would he?

    20. It’s a corrupt agreement, the next admin can cancel it just as quickly as it was made.

    21. Possible-Ad-2891 on

If we ever regain power, we need to just freeze the Trump family assets. Treat them like we treat terrorists whose money we know about.

    22. AaronRobertsMusic on

This can’t end soon enough. I’m so god damn tired of it. At this point, I hate my fellow Americans for letting this atrocity happen. I’m done

    23. think about how you would teach American history to a kid – 250 years talking about small steps of progress just to explain that some dude blew it all up and sank the ship

      Hmmm….

Adolf Hitler Fund of German Trade and Industry: Established in 1933, this was a massive donation drive where German employers’ associations and industry leaders voluntarily (and sometimes coercively) paid billions of Reichsmarks into a general fund to finance the Nazi Party and its political campaigns.

Konto 5 (Account 5): This was a specific, secret slush fund controlled directly by Hitler and the Reich Chancellery. Money from this fund was used by Hitler to pay massive, untaxed monthly bribes to senior Wehrmacht officers and cabinet ministers to secure their personal loyalty.

(While the “Fund of German Trade and Industry” represented big business enriching the Nazi state, “Konto 5” was the mechanism through which the state used that wealth to bribe top military brass.

To learn more about how corporate wealth fueled the Nazi regime, consult the Wikipedia Article on the Adolf Hitler Fund of German Trade and Industry.)

    25. This mf’r illegally fired nearly 100k people. It’s a good thing the SCotUS and Congress have decided that the laws don’t matter, once he’s out let the prosecution begin.

In hindsight, having your core checks & balances rely on people acting in good faith and not ignoring them, is a really shit foundation.

    27. Klaatuprime on

Wasn’t the reason why he couldn’t release his taxes was because he was under an audit?
There should be no reason for why he can’t now.
