Cold unsalted fries are unacceptable at McDonald’s. It’s one of, if not THE core item on the menu…and with today’s kitchen tech and commercial fryers…it’s an inexcusable infraction. I will die on this hill…After I request fresh fries kindly, of course.

There’s nothing wrong with telling the staff your food is not up to standard (especially with prices now a days) just be nice, patient, and treat them like the human being they are.

Just be polite and friendly about it. If anything you will probably be making them feel less stressed if they are used to people being rude about it.

I say this as someone who did maintenance at McDs for a few years: If you are going to McDs, ask for the food fresh.
It only costs you some time (usually about 3-4 minutes), and they *cannot* charge you extra for it.
It also helps guarantee you get the correct order and not ‘extra sandwich that sat in the heating station’ roulette.

Yeah, sorry, but this is just plain wrong. As others have pointed out, be polite and respectful, but they aren’t exactly giving away fries for free. The average price for a large fry is $5.04. That’s almost an hour of work if you’re minimum wage. No, thank you, I would please like my fries hot. (I don’t care about salted, personally)

I’m SUPER friendly with service workers, even when they’re assholes and I’m already having a particularly shitty day.
I still always speak up if something I bought is wrong. It’s what I paid for. I don’t understand NOT doing this. If I was in their position, even as a minimum wage slave, I would prefer someone tell me that their food is wrong, rather than them have spent 15-50 dollars on food that isn’t what they ordered.

I don’t want to be rude, but that’s just refusing to work within the system. There’s nothing wrong with politely asking for something fresh when you’re served cold food.
I promise, you’re not going to put out the dude at the McD’s counter one bit by telling him that your fries are cold and asking for fresher fries. Just be polite and direct with it.

Empathy shouldn’t make you forget that you still paid for that and it shouldn’t suck

I just don’t patronize Macca’s. It isn’t difficult.
Their food’s always been rubbish, but at least it used to be cheap. Now it’s costly rubbish.

Or you just don’t wanna risk someone spitting in your food, I’ve seen way too many cases like that

Honestly, just tell them. You don’t have to be an asshole but just tell them.
