I’m genuinely surprised that it even works anymore. I would have guessed that by wearing down so much, it wouldn’t push the pins far enough. That’s crazy.

Does it start with s screwdriver?
Something to be aware of is that the tumblers are just as worn. If you wver lose that key and try to have a new one made, its probably not going to work (new key, same worm tumblers) you’ll end up needing a switch too, which may or may not be available for a 1992 benzo.
That’s not a key, it’s a suggestion to unlock.
Have you tried starting it without out a key? Years ago I had an ‘84 Ford and everything wore down so much I didn’t even need a key to start it.
