It would have been surprisingly good for the Americans if United 93 was targeted at the Capitol, because not only are the House and Senate located on opposite ends of the building, the easiest thing to hit, the rotunda, contains neither.
Still, for United 93 to hit the Capitol, the hijackers would have needed to act sooner so the passengers didn’t learn about the other attacks and realize they were going to die if they did nothing. Washington, DC was half-assing their evacuation until the Pentagon strike so it’s possible that United 93 could have done some serious damage.

I’ve said more than once I’m glad the plane didn’t strike the capital building or God forbid the white house. I can’t imagine how much more violent and volatile the United States reaction would’ve been and suffering and death that would’ve been ten times worse.

This scene is both stupid and awesome. Yes mortals believing there above gods is a trope that exist in most stories and mythologies. But they were still stupid to try to jump their literal god. And it’s awesome because the dark lord didn’t even hesitate he just takes one look at them and wipes out all humans.
