      The internet would be far better without children everywhere on it. The internet should not have to be censored so that they can use it. Keep it free and make parents actually parent their children and keep them off

      The ones pushing censorship and ID mandates are nonces, 100%, cos why else would they want to isolate, track and monitor kids all the time?

      I think I also saw somewhere that meta/Facebook created or funded a large portion of the “child safety” lobbyist groups along with a bunch of other tech companies pushing the id verification requirement

      I wonder why them in particular would want you to upload your government id online

      Now: you have to give personal information to people with an untrustworthy history, to protect yourself.

      Don’t you get it people, this is to “protect the kids” from the evils of the internet and totally not because the government wants more control over everything you say, do, hear, read and believe. Sooner or later they will restrict VPNs and make the internet even more controlled and regulated.

      children have never had the rights that adults have had for obvious reasons. children *should not* have unrestricted access to the internet, case in point this dumb ass meme im guessing was made by a 15 year old. this is not the issue. the issue is that in their efforts to “protect children” theyre infringing on the rights of adults.

      and “so much for pluralism”, what? the us was founded with ideas of egalitarianism that were progressive for the time, such as religious freedom, but noone in their right minds thinks children need equality under the law.

      “But you don’t have full internet and freedom of speech rights when you’re a minor!” So then should you lose them when you become elderly because you’re not as well minded as you were when you were a young adult? It makes sense after all, less rights for the young then less rights for the elderly, right?
