    1. Yeah, and modern humans are still just idiots grunting at each other.

AND we successfully walked on the moon.

Turns out idiots grunting at each other can actually be pretty smart sometimes.

    2. and also; exterminate the majority of terrestrial megafauna with only sticks and stones

While its fair that ancient humans were much more intelligent, clever, and creative then we often give them credit for, you must remember that what we have is a very very small data sample of skeletons, artifacts, etc that doesn’t show a complete picture, and likely suffers from plenty of survivorship bias

    4. Both can be true. The size of our brain, and its innate ability to understand these grunts in context is what makes us special.

Squirrels also lack farming, medicine, and electricity, and they did just fine during the Ice age. And while that was not an intentional reference to Scrat, it brings up the point that increased glaciation was really not *that* big of a deal. Africa, Malaysia, and Beringia are all pretty great places to live.

They literally huntwd most of the world’s megafauna outside Africa and parts of Asia to extinction, and that wasn’t due to just grunting at each other

    6. They figured out how to cut a hole in someone’s head and have them live for 30-40 more years.

Far Cry Primal was a really nice one for showing how stone age communities would work. They engineered a while language for the game, as well
