dumb, instead play a video to check if you see the image first or hear the sound first….

I was waiting for “Sound, because you used sound to say light it faster”

    3. If you really wanne make it scientifically relevant you need to put the lightsource – best case a strong laser – directly in front of your eyeball and put a speaker with at least 120 db loudness right next to your ear.
Otherwise there is too much airclutter to make an accurate assumption.

    4. I appreciate the attempt at the scientific method, though flawed it might be.

The first time I could actually see the difference (not mentioning lightning and thunder) was at 12 years old, opposite side of a batter in a baseball field, the hitter has finished the swing by the time sound reaches you (~120m – > ~0,5 s later)

How havenโ€™t they seen a storm with lightnings before ? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

just look at a plane in the sky. the sound is delayed from the actual location of the plane.

    8. People like this actually walk amongst us – yes this is a troll but my point still stands

I think theyโ€™d have to do that over a much greater distance than that.

Humans react to auditory stimulation faster than visual stimulation by ~50 ms so maybe heโ€™s legitimately telling the truth based off what he perceives

I appreciate them trying it out. Even if they’re not scientifically inclined, it’s nice to see people be curious about science.
