    1. Maybe Japan is one of those countries where there isn’t much Hail? I know my hometown back in my home country was one of those places, I never saw hail until I moved halfway across the world.

Isn’t Spring the most likely season for hail and sleet?

I mean, hail typically occurs when weather is turbulent. Which is what happens in Spring.

It doesn’t happen because it’s particularly cold, like snow. It’s because air layers of different temperatures collide so rain gets sucked back up into the sky where it freezes again.

At least in Europe where I live hail and sleet are typical spring weather, for this reason.

It was hailing on me today in England, and it was warm. I went for a run and was glad the ice just bounced off me because otherwise I would have been soaked.

It snowed here in the PNW USA the night before last (in the mountains).

It hails during summer storms here in the west frequently.

    5. Aww ‘rained ice’.

It hails here quite often but moreso in Summer. Hail doesn’t care what time of year it is.

We actually have an area of the city called “hail alley”. The postal code has a VERY high homeowners insurance rate.
