    1. Blame the moderates for the lack of unity, they’d rather let the fascists win than budge even an inch left. Its not even ‘far’ left. The ‘far left’ in the US is just moderate positions everywhere else.

    2. Quirky_Foundation800 on

The captions should read “centrists” and “actual left wing policies”

    3. FlukeManAirFreshener on

For fuck’s sake this is nonsense. Sure, the “far left” is holding the Democrats back. It’s definitely not the shitheel “moderates” like Manchin, Sinema, Leiberman, and Fetterman who torpedoed any chance of meaningful legislation that would benefit the country 🙄.

    4. UndoxxableOhioan on

Other way around. It’s the moderate left that beats down progressives.

    5. TheSaltyseal90 on

How the F does anyone consider themselves a “moderate” at this point lmao

You need help middling with a party that harbors and protects pedophiles and starts wars? Lmao

The issue is that moderates have been propagandized into thinking that “trying to workout outside a 2 party system is the best way” when here we are at the tail end of their reality and look at the state of our nation now lmao

If you’re a moderate with pedophiles, nobody wants to be around you so wake up and grow up

    6. The real issue is that the corporate / AIPAC dems, while entirely ineffectual in almost all other settings, have been ruthlessly efficient in shutting down any candidate who is economically to the left of Ronald Reagan.

Only recently have a few actually economically left candidates broken through (and in each case against obvious overt resistance/ lack of support from the DNC), simply because true leftist economic policies are so wildly popular that they haven’t been as able to ratfuck them as they normally would.

The very sobering truth is that even if we got majority Democrat control in 28, if they’re all corporate husks, nothing is going to meaningfully get any better. They’ll do what they always do: try to stabilize things just enough to keep it from all falling apart entirely and make long winded speeches about why we shouldn’t expect anything more. And then go back to deregulating / privatizing everything.

    7. you have them mixed up.

the “Moderate” Left is on top with all that AIPAC money screeching “Hasan Piker”.

the Far Left is on the bottom just asking if we can give people healthcare and a decent wage

    8. you have them wrong.

Well yeah. We all know insufferable dipshits who voted third party or didn’t vote at all in both 16 and 24 because Clinton and Harris didn’t check every single box they wanted, and thought giving the keys to a senile fascist would somehow improve the situation. I’m sure I’ll get inundated with bullshit from many of them here.

    10. This image is bait. It was made to foment the very thing it depicts. Do not feed it. We all need to be working together to tackle growing right-wing authoritarianism.

If you believe this is the place to make comments about moderates Dems or left-wing progressives instigating fights more, then you are the one this image depicts. The idiot fighting their closest ally. Do not swallow the bait.

    11. It’s not dis-unity on the left that is destroying everything. It’s unshakable unity on the right, towards the cause of destroying everything, that is destroying everything.

We are blaming the fire fighters for not being perfect, instead of the serial arsonists starting all the fires.

    12. kittyonkeyboards on

Except you should reverse who is beating up who.

Progressives vote blue more than moderates do. We weren’t the ones that sat out the election.

    13. GastrointestinalFolk on

Your tags are on the wrong people. The far left does not have any power over neolibs that control the Democratic party in the US. This is essentially right-wing propaganda.

    14. STORMBORN_12 on

Oh yah fuck the far left bullying with their bottomless cash, media conglomerates and institutional power beating up the little guys. Oh wait..

First past the post districts are dead. Thank SCOTUS.

It’s time for proportional representation in Congress.

We’re never going to have the national conversation needed if it gets filtered through 535 seats gerrymanded by partisans and the unintended consequences of the Great Compromise.

Republicans gut social program that feeds Red State Grandmothers living below poverty level.

Why didn’t the Democrats stop them?

Grandmas start to starve to death.

Democrats sue in court to stop the cuts, write a law to feed Grandmas, fund it through a tax on recreational boats cost more than 500k dollars. Republicans vote it down.

Why don’t the Democrats do something?

Democrats win back Congress and Presidency. Pass the law.

Republican controlled media starts round the clock coverage on tax and spend democrats creating a welfare state and ruining America with taxes on fun! Republicans come out promising to feed grandma with hope and prayers and a new version of the law that removes the tax on fun.

Why are Democrats so weak and anti-fun?

Republicans win the midterms promising to remove the tax on fun! Cut taxes on boats and private jets and corporations.

      Deficit balloons.

Why are the Democrats spending so much!

    17. RottenBioHazard on

If we could get rid of the aipac apologists on the left we would be far better off.

    18. KStryke_gamer001 on

Lmao, the US doesn’t even have a far left. Barely a left. And the reason there is leftist infighting is because they actually care about their ideology. The right is united because they care about cults of personality rather than ideology.

It is counterproductive, if not utterly stupid to expect the left to be more like the right. If they do that, you’ll have just the same authoritarian bullshittery as on the right.

    19. Far left?

      In the U.S.?!

Jesus, this is so liberal coded🫩

It’s so liberal that I know it’s not a troll post, it’s the honest opinion of a self-centered centrist.

    20. Now list the policy plans each side is working for…and you’ll see how dumb this post is!

Old Establishment Democrats don’t have any actual plans to fix our problems. It’s just too hard, for them. They want that donor money more than they want to help us.

    21. The reason is not a lack of unity, that’s just asking us to fall for tolerance of the intolerant. The reason is that fascists are good at infiltrating and acting as bad actors. The entire core of the centrist Dem party are oligarchs’ bitches, not leftists.

    22. Since when does what the “far left” wants have any effect whatsoever on the moderate left (a.k.a. center right?)

The moderate left’s job is to be loyal opposition and prevent the actual left from having any voice or any power.

This meme was created by the kind of dumbass who thought Kamala getting the endorsement of the Cheney family was positive.

    23. Boring_Machine on

I think the meme gets the dynamic backwards. The usual story is that lefties are attacking moderates while the rich laugh, but in practice “moderates” inside the Democratic Party often act as the enforcement arm of the donor-friendly status quo.

Progressives are not the ones asking Democrats to abandon their own voters. They are pushing for things much of the base already supports: health care reform, labor power, climate action, less war, and taking on corporate interests. The so-called moderates are often the ones blocking that agenda, punching left, and then blaming progressives when voters are demoralized.

So yeah, the 1% benefits from infighting. But it is not accurate to frame that infighting as lefties randomly beating up reasonable moderates. A lot of the conflict exists because party “moderates” would rather discipline the left than challenge the corporate interests shaping the party.

    24. TurkeyVolumeGuesser on

Uhhhh I’m pretty sure it’s the moderate left that should be doing that assaulting there
