We went up to Boston when my cousin graduated high school at the Latin school. I was standing on the second floor near the bathrooms , I had a view of the side of the stand and I brought in some beers and was sneaking cigarettes in the bathroom. I had trouble finding my group after it was over but we went over my cousin and her mother’s apartment after . No lie.

I can hear the gravelly voice of your Mom yelling, “Yeah!!! Run, honey!!!” as your sis runs by her 😂

My mom died of lung cancer and my stepdad died of emphysema, a years long suffocation. They both chain smoked. My stepdad’s defense, when I asked him if they were ever going to quit, was “we’re getting on in our age and want to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.” This is oldschoolstupid if you ask me, even if you don’t ask me

I remember in grade school, in the middle ’80s, the bus drivers were NOT allowed to smoke on the bus! But they would absolutely crank butts while the kids were getting off or on. And also they would still sometimes smoke on the bus.

And those white washed jeans always looked good on the moms.
