Chicken pox parties are still a thing where I live because I live near Amish and Mennonites. If you don’t know what I’m talking about. If someone in their family gets chicken pox they will call everyone they know friends and family and they all get up close and personal with the infected because they want to also get infected for the “immunity”. They don’t believe in modern medicine but trust me if they get sick enough they will go to the doctor which is hypocrisy at its finest
