Stresses me out when I see them lane splitting. Get in between 2 cars at a stop light, fly ahead of everyone on green, rev a few hundred times so everyone can see them, repeat.
I know it’s legal, but man I worry for those riders when a weaving truck driver or inattentive car driver takes them out because they don’t want to wait with the rest of the vehicles.

I once saw a biker overtake me, going into incoming traffic at 100km/h plus, missing the cars by an arms length. That was the day I decided to just come to terms with the fact that the average biker is suicidal.

I rarely ever see a motorcycle driving like a jackass. I do see wayyyyy too many cars driving dangerously close to motorcyclists though.
I consider the guys who drive dirt bikes and do wheelies separate and fuck all those people.

cyclists too. bunch of out of shape office workers dressed like they are in the tour de france, and just HAVE to roam as a group, like a migrating herd of zebras, and ride at a blazing speed of 20 mph on the highway and block off an entire lane and have the arrogance to act like other people are the problem if they react negatively in anyway

I see both sides of this. If bikers aren’t being safe, that’s 100% on them and not the fault of car drivers. But also, car drivers should be reminded to watch out for bikes because bikes are smaller and harder to see than cars, and it’s harder to judge their speed because of that as well, so drivers need to be extra cautious.
That said, I personally always follow the rule that the larger thing has the right of way, even when they shouldn’t, and if I’m the smaller thing then I need to watch out for them even if they have no right to be in my way or in my space. If I’m a pedestrian, I still look both ways even if the sign tells me to go; if I’m on my motorcycle, I assume every car hasn’t seen me and might pull out in front of me, merge into my lane, or run a red light and hit me. If I’m in a car, I still assume that every truck might run me off the road or blindside me. This mentality has also saved my life many times over when working near forklifts.

Real as fuck. Literally earlier today I was going down a backroad, the speed limit was 55. And this biker comes out of nowhere and whips around me. I didn’t even see him until he was in the other lane right next to me. And while I was going 55, he seemed like he was going 55 beyond that.

Had some dude on a motorcycle decide to cut between me and the car ahead of me because there was space. Dude then gave me the ‘back off’ hand because I was too close… I didn’t budge, and he sure didn’t appreciate having 4000lbs of steerable bullet behind him.

I’ve been riding for over 10 years and what I do is activelly act like anything on the road is or will try to kill me.
I am so sorry for all the people whos ears I shotgun blasted with my pipes as I filtered by but I was trying to avoid the asshole on a Supra 5 cars back whos actively trying to race me or the truck/soccer mom on an SUV riding way too close.

Feel like people only moan cause riders arnt fast enough… then they’ll moan that there too fast, or lane hogging when theyre simply taking primary position in their own lane, usually comming up to a junction or round bends.
The amount of times cars will sit half out of OUR lane trying to overtake me at the entrance to a junction or roundabout is actually insane. Idiots.
Funny how as a cyclist i litirally never have any issues with motorcycles… theyre always respectful of other riders.

Too bad theres a few more million cars to every one biker, meaning across everyone cars are more often in the wrong than bikers just due to the shear scale difference in their use.
