The problem with communism is there are no safeguards, no system of checks and balances against misuse. It naively assumes that if there’s enough for everyone, people will want to divide the resource evenly (“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”). The problem of course is we’re really greedy beings, and someone will happily kill another for their share, or deprive millions in the name of profit.
Capitalism is not perfect either, but there’s no veil pretending all is fair.
