Subtitle: Aging Isn't Easy

This is a subset of health-related data I've tracked for years (steps, dog-walking miles, bicycle miles, etc.)

    Flotsam and Jetsam

    – COVID prompted me to make some minor lifestyle changes which is evident in my weight but still unhelpful seasonal swings.

    – I made further lifestyle changes in 2024 due to some health challenges.

    – I'm not sure if blood pressure reduction is weight, diet, or activity. Probably all three.

    – More recently (2 weeks ago) I had oral surgery which affects what I can eat and how. Pro Tip: I do not suggest this as a weight loss plan.

    2. That seems crazy to me, how is your weight soo seasonal, but at the same time your plot looks so smooth.

I feel like if I were to plot my weight it would look a lot more noisy. I think my day to day variations are easily in the 2-4 lbs range. How does this plot look so clean? Do you measure your weight daily and then calculate the weekly average? That’s kind of my best explanation.

Also I’m curious why your weight is so seasonal. Do you do a lot of outdoor activity and live in region with extremely seasonal weather? Or are you into fitness and this is somewhat intentional with bulking up and cutting again for the summer?
