[OC] Prog metal bands similarity chart

I built an interactive arc diagram mapping similarity between progressive metal bands and subgenres.

It combines:
• Last fm similarity data
• Every Noise at Once’s genre topology
• D3.js for the interactive arc diagram

Each large filled node is a seed artist, smaller hollow nodes are similar artists and the arcs connect bands based on similarity relationships. Colors represent subgenres like progressive metal, progressive rock, alternative metal, sludge metal, death metal and djent.

You can hover bands for artist bios, explore connections and filter by subgenre to see how scenes overlap.

I wanted to make something that feels less like a static chart and more like a map you can explore.
