      What are you talking about? The situation on the field at the start of Day 3 favored the Union.

      Lee was trained in napoleonic warfare with emphasized strong frontal charges, Lee repeated over many battles used frontal charges often destroying a larger precentage of his own army to route the union

      Gettysburg wasn’t an anomaly it wasn’t that Lee suddenly went braindead its when he finally didn’t have enough men to feed into the woodchipper

      He was fighting as if he was still a union officer and could easily replace losses he didn’t understand his strategic position and that was his greatest failure as a general

      John Brown being at the end of a noose and not Lee is what’s wrong with America.

      Not surprising. Dude was late 50s at the time and probably under tremendous stress. He didn’t get wasted like Grant for an outlet.
