      We are in that part of the modern “big short” where everyone keeps waiting for it all to collapse while the entire corrupt system is sticking their fingers in the dike while standing in neck deep water and telling everyone “its fine”. They cant sell what people dont want especially with promises that they simply can’t possibly achieve with what is essentially an over wordy Amazon echo. These are large language models, not “AI”. “AI” is a marketing term like “non-gmo” or “organic”. Its a term that has been hijacked because they know people are too dumb to understand the difference. They are selling codependent search engines with schizophrenia

      You do realize that you’re basically hoping for the economy to crash, right? Remember what happened when the housing bubble popped? It will go similar to that. The AI companies will get massive government bailouts, the big corporations will buy up what’s left for dirt cheap and jack the price up, and the ruling class will blame immigrants and poor people for everything.

      Ai is here to stay. While companies like openai are doomed to fail soon, ai made by already big companies will last way longer because they can afford it
