“Why can’t you be like your cousin Timmy. He got 15 years work experience… he’s 9”.

I mean… that should go for everyone.

      Career/job is for making money.

Your personal time is for finding and pursuing your passions.

The best jobs are the most competitive and you will most likely never do what you love for work. So might as well plan your enjoyment outside of it.

If your only life is work you will be miserable.

I think you still need to have some aptitude in what you do, you should not go in just because you will earn more. You will need to go through much more hard work and grinding.

You’re allowed to have a passion! as long as it’s a passion for making a six figure salary doing a job you absolutely hate

    5. Actually most of India’s population is middle class so they never get to know, passion and all. Imo if someone wants to pursue their passion first make sure that your family is financially stable(u have to make them stable) and parallel work on your passion.

If that’s your passion you won’t feel stressed for working little extra and sacrificing your sleep/friends.

      It’s my personal opinion.

While high salary is great. Is it really worth earning lots of money that by the end of the day you’d be physically and emotionally tired to use on your passions?

A healthy balance must be achieved. I am saying this as a person who works at IT but I fucking hate IT.

I do earn alot compared to my peers (Gen Z) but unlike me they have the time and energy to socialize and actually live life.

    7. I mean, there’s a kernel of truth in that. I believe you should do what you tolerate for money, then use that money to fund your passions.

I mean my passion is playing sports, but I couldn’t even crack a D3 college team. Yeah I’m going to keep my passion out of my career

That seems awful because what if your passion is engineering and your parents force you to be a doctor or a lawyer?
