      For those curious about Patti:

This happened in 2019 and Patti had passed in 2013.
“The former student passed away in 2013 so the purse was given to her five kids.”

I love how they didn’t only take pictures of the items but of the guy who found it. He looks somewhat embarrassed to be photographed but proud of his discovery.

I guess it’s unsurprising but I find it interesting that pencil design has not changed at all over this time – down to the identical crimping on the rubber holder

    4. She is very pretty, but teenage style of the time makes her look older than most schoolteachers today.

    6. I remember this, what a cool find. Now I’m curious how it got there. Maybe it didn’t have anything covering the top until later. No reason to check the gap for debris if they did.

Yes. A lost purse from the 50s would be full of 50s things that havnt been touched in over 50 years

I guess she lost her purse because of that broken bad luck mirror.

If someone finds my backpack in 50 years I hope it won’t end up on the internet. It wouldn’t be this lovely at all. My ADHD mess is for my eyes only.

What a thoughtful way to preserve a memory! The lady looks nice in her pictures, like Annette Funicello.
