      It’s rare to see such un-dolled-up Koreans these days. I’m never not a fan of KPop beauties, but their sort used to be the rare thing until the 2000s.

      US & UK (with their hippie culture & Beatles) always get the limelight, so much so, that we forget, 60s, 70s were magical in other cultures too. A blissful time to be alive.

      I would have placed this closer to ’80s. Your mother must have had a friend who was a photographer or a camera hobbyist. The camera and film used were quality, which were around in the ’70s in South Korea but not widely available. There are indications of wealth, at least of a comfortable life. The ’70’s were a hard time for many South Koreans under the US-backed military dictatorship. There are no deep lines or blemishes on their faces.

      Has your mom passed away? It seems so from your responses I am sorry if I am intruding, my mom has and I really wish I had more pictures from her youth she often talked about wearing modern clothes and hanging out with her friends.
