Yeah this is why it’s so hard to take a lot of people seriously when they talk about the male loneliness epidemic, men’s mental health, male suicide rates, child custody for men, etc. On the face of it these are important topics and more should be done and the impact of them acknowledged. But so often they’re just used as a stick to beat other people/causes, and it’s completely transparent that those people don’t give a shit beyond getting one over on everyone else

The male loneliness epidemic is just a way to shit-talk women. They should be forced to spend time with men they don’t like or society will fall apart. The fact that these dudes don’t have male friendships either (because we don’t like them either) isn’t brought up because it can’t be weaponized against women.
