TLDR: IndyCar makes, approves, uploads, and begins selling epic facepalm "One Nation, One Race" t-shirt for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix. Everyone realizes the tone deaf double meaning. Product quietly and quickly yanked down.

There were no critical thinkers in the room during the birth of this?

    2. Was there a few Republicans and Supreme Court Justices on the design team?

So tone deaf and I’m sorry, there is no way it got this far without SOMEONE bringing up how insanely problematic this is.

Someone at one level or another in the process of creating this understood what it meant and either agreed with it or thought it was hilarious, you can’t convince me otherwise. There’s no way that many people are that dumb in that one situation

The number of people this has to go through and still get manufactured is ridiculous

They put a man clad in white on the Lincoln Memorial. I don’t think the meaning was invisible to them.

No pointy hat? You’re missing your pointy hat.

Well I’m sure the right people get the reference.

There is a political party in Australia called One Nation. Scrolling past, I thought this was one of their weirdo promos.

The design is kinda cool, sad that it was ruined with a shitty caption

Someone will slightly modify the image & then sell it from their MAGA store front, I’m sure.

    11. Took me all of 3 seconds to notice the problem. How they approved this…it’s IndyCar, of course they approved it.

Some say he’s not the Stig …… but he is the Stig’s American cousin.

I imagine this was not intended to be racist, but yikes for nobody realizing how this could easily be interpreted until they released it

    14. Just in time for Trump Org to co-opt the design and sell on Trump’s website. They can’t believe they didn’t think of this first.

They built a billion dollar steam heat plant at the university where I work. They placed it significantly uphill from campus. No one in the process of design or many year construction seemed to remember that steam rises. It sit abandoned to this day, almost 40 years after it was built. Never fired up once.
