More countries should form their own natos or have nukes. Large powerful countries like US ,EU, China and Russia , India will keep on messing around till they’re humbled

Asian countries were destabilized, but they got their stuff together and are now powerhouses. At what point will external excuses stop?

That sounds like very recent history

Rwanda and Botswana are doing pretty fine for themselves nowadays, thanks to strong institutions and no-nonsense governance
I won’t deny that foreign interference has caused quite a bit of trouble in certain African regions (i.e., France in the Sahel), but reality is that most of the regimes that go “muh anti-imperialism” just fuck the country up, like Idi Amin and Robert Mugabe

North Africa did plenty of messing with Europe and West Asia.

90 percent of incredibly recent history, like 250 years at most (not a long time), unless you’re trying to imply that even during the height of the Incan Empire and the other kingdoms in Lat Am, as well as all the African kingdoms and empires, and for over 5000 years, they’ve almost always been destabilized by ”them”

Which is pretty massive conspiracy theory, or lack of understanding of both places

If you’re not a French colony, all you have to do it not flirt with communists and they’ll let you alone.
If you’re a French colony I’m sorry.

Hard disagree. Mainly because 90% of the history of these continents doesn’t involve foreign interactions.
Also, because it ignores the internal destabilization actions the countries in these continents do all by themselves.

90% of the History of South America and Africa ?
And what about all the stuff that came pre-colonies ?
What about Prehistory ? And the entire 3000+ of Egyptian monarchies ? Or the Aztec Empire ? The Olmecs ? The Mayans ? Or the Empire of Mali ?
Like… I know European empires have fucked up a lot in Africa and made a good bunch of their recent history
But like… Come on

The French and the CFA Franc, the most blatant example of neocolonialism

Africa before colonialism: violence, coercion, lack of development
African during colonialism: violence, coercion, development, but only for colonizers and their allies
Africa after colonialism: violence, coercion, some development leftover, but mostly monopolized by the elite.
Must be colonialisms fault!

90% of history, if you’re someone who assumes African or South American history begins with the colonial era… which, ironically, is an inherently euro-centric worldview

Who’s they? As if Africans and all their tribal/clan based ethnic warfare and genocide aren’t destabilizing?
Self-loathing liberal white people who think they are solely responsible for crazy shit across the globe post bullshit like this.

Botswana is proof if you embrace western democracy you can actually succeed as a nation.
Turns out military coups and communism don’t actually make for stable countries.
Unless you were colonized by the French in which case, good luck.

Maybe if you only pay attention to western history. The kingdom of Mali, the Ehopian Empire, Azctets, all these cultures and kingdoms had some really cool and interesting things going on
