Ooof… this hot too close to home.
The girl that was sat next to me had her mother call the school to have her daughter moved.

Having girls sit next to me so they could play Nintendogs on my DS 😎

    3. I was in this situation, but reversed. I (boy 7yo) cried and begged teacher not to move me next to girl. At the end of school (and we spent 12 years as the same group) we were best friends.

Usually I became really good friends with them not only to Ditch them and ignore them after highschool. Literally did that walk away thing in front of one 😂

We once had dancing lessons in school and the teacher told the boys and girls make separate rows, and we would get partnered with whoever was opposite us. I just randomly went where there was room for me, and then I heard one of the girls shout at the top of her lungs ”NOT THERE! GO AWAY!!”

      A real confidence booster.

I wouldn’t give a rats ass. If fact I would find out why I’d be scary to her and try to change

Holy shit this is relatable. School at large was fucking awful for me growing up.

Even with all the caveats of being an adult, I wouldn’t repeat that shit. No, we good thanks.

The only thing worse: being picked last for a team at recess and then having the two team captains argue heatedly with each other about who “has” to take you.

“At least” is two words. Have you ever wondered why you get a red line when you type it as one word? Could this be why the girl was crying?

    13. Comfortable_Ad_6572 on

Me but I was 16, and not at school, and never even talked to the girl. I’m still confused

    14. Afektywnosc on

I was quite quiet and some teachers would put the most annoying kids next to me to “teach them how to behave”, I didn’t cry but boy did I want to.

Middle school teacher here. Missing a lot of context. I had a boy last year who girls begged me not to sit them next to. Turned out, the kid was a total creep with zero impulse control, loved to stare, and would constantly say the most disturbing sexual things like “I’m going to tie you up and rape you” (a 12 year old, btw). It’s reached a point the police were called and his parents moved him out of the district.

Moral of the story: kids can be dicks, but kids can also have valid reasons for feeling uncomfortable sitting next to certain people.

    16. MakaveliX1996 on

My teachers would have told me to sit down and stfu. That’s life.

I’m very grateful i never experienced this before but i did experience one time in grade 10 we were practicing for a dance and needed to pick a partner i was slow so there was only 2 girsl left and 2 guys me and my friend that one girl pick my friend and that other girl that b*tch said she would dance with the other girl instead while looking at me in the f*king eyes my blood pressure at that time was through the roof but thank god that dance was cancelled 😂

I still remember that one time, I was at a christian youth gathering, there was a game where we would split and form 2 circles that rotate in the opposite direction while singing a song, and when the rotation stopped, you had to hug the person in front of you. At some point I had a girl stopped in front of me, and she rolled her eyes and went “ughhh” forcing herself to hug me. On the moment, I pretended not to be bothered and hugged her just to avoid causing a scene, but I regret it. I should’ve refused to hug her even if that would’ve caused a scene, bc there was no reason for her to act like that.

    23. intellectualnt on

I had a similar situation . I was 11 and the whole class was going to gym for P.E and a girl bumped into me. She paused and got this disgusted look on her face and yelled “EWWWWWWAHHH”

      Did wonders for my confidence….

    24. Conscious_Nobody9571 on

Underrated post… As an adult, I’m going to try spending the next hour dancing for being free… Sometimes we take this for granted

    25. Weary_Spread_7019 on

So glad that my high school is only for boys. Boys here do t really have the need to be “macho” to impress girls and protect their false bull shit image. Boys here are free and be themselves.

Was heavily bullied in school because I was always incredibly sick. My illness wasn’t contagious, I was just unfortunate. Kids thought I had AIDs/HIV so everyone avoided me and would, literally, be like this every time a group project was started. Most of the time, I was sitting alone so.. yeah. Life may suck, but at least, I’m not being treated like a bringer of death because I was unfortunate enough to have a chronic illness. My partner treats me with a lot of love and care. That’s all that matters to me. lol

I was never in this exact type of situation at school but I was once at a party, someone suggested to pay spin the bottle and all the girls said “eww no, you can sit in the corner” so I decided to leave while heavily drunk, I just cried in my room, this was when I was 20 and now 28, I still think about it everyday

    28. All_hail_bug_god on

Oof. Was seated next to a girl I thought I was ok with, later overheard her saying how gross I was & that I smelled of cigarettes…

I was 14 and lived with 3 heavy smokers.
