      I remember one scientist saying that if fans really want the player to miss, they would ask hold up picture of the basket and rim. These players so practice the free throw thousands of times these type of distractions don’t really affect them. However if you put up 100 pictures of the basket and rim to be about the same size from the perspective of the shooter as the actual basket and rim, that could actually work.
