Yup anytime you share a link from some app just take the time to delete the question mark and everything after it

If you took the red part and put it on the end of a different video link would it have the same effectÂ

Yea i’m circumcising my links since i’ve found out that this 2nd part tracks stuff.

For anyone who is concerned there are Firefox extensions that automatically remove the tracking portion of links.

Fun fact there’s quite a few websites where anything past the question mark is tracking data, just look for the first question mark and delete anything after it and the link should still work

Remember: if you share a link, delete EVERYTHING after the question mark. If that breaks it, then you can see what’s after that question mark and if you can figure out what’s needed (YouTube encrypts it but many sites will just use normal words and separate them with “&”)

Unethical lifehack: copy and save any random’s si and replace yours with it whenever you post a link.

can someone explain to me why this is so bad? I know we don’t like tracking but what’s the issue with knowing who sent the yt video?
