Due to the lack of standardization of their railway network in 1914, Austria-Hungary invaded Serbia at roughly the speed of a bicycle (the fastest trains were required not to exceed the maximum speed of the slowest).

Ima be real, if WW1 never happened and Austro-Hungary didn’t collapse, I wouldn’t exist. The reason my mom’s family moved here from Czechoslovakia is because of the Soviet Union expanding there after World War Two and that wouldn’t have happened if the Austro-Hungarian empire never fell.

Imagine that. The people doing the math and the programmers would only speak hungarian, the rocket designers would only speak german, the base personnel would be a mix of poles and romanians withoun an actual common language, and both the hungarian and austrian parlaments would demand that the cre would be 50% hungarian/german, so they would have to pack an extra member
