If you want to see more (admittedly poor) attempts at cooking, I’m on IG @airdanada and YouTube @DanTreadwayComedy

This variety of dish is likely present at every summer potluck in the Midwest. The only thing I am surprised about is that a jello packet wasn’t included for coloring.

    3. This was a very common desert when I was growing up in the 90’s in the south. My grandma would basically just make this with grapes, pineapple, coconut, bananas, mandarins, and whipped cream instead of sour cream.

    4. When I was little, people made it all the time for picnics or summer cookouts. He treats it as though it was some rare find. LOL.

The toasted peanut butter and banana sandwhich is amazing. Use costco peanut butter

My mom used to make ambrosia. I’m from Louisiana. She didn’t put bananas or coconut in it, though, and she used whipped cream, not sour cream.

    7. My great grandma made something similar to this without the oranges and Whipped Cream instead of Sour Cream. She called it Heavenly Hash.

This exact recipe but with Cool Whip instead of sour cream was served at every one of my family’s Christmas and Easter dinners in the Adirondacks.

Never heard of using sour cream, it’s always been whipped cream in my experience.
