Yeah he switched lanes but also blame the process here. Needed different colors. You’re in the zone pushing your body to limit, hard to make associations in the moment

Odds are he’s used to running in regular events and this is his first relay. You’d be surprised by how many High schools don’t even practice things like hand offs. My high school used to come in first in most relay events just because we practiced handoffs and could do them at full speed.
