Great pic OP. Thanks for sharing. I hope you both are just as happy today. It is rare to find friends that last a lifetime.

    2. What street was your romp? I grew up going to 54th st mostly, and a friend whose family would always get a beachhouse around 32nd. But damn im feeling old, i was thrashing around there all threw the 80’s and early 90’s

I lived in Newport Beach in 1998. I was surviving on the $8.50 an hour or so I made with my job in Huntington Beach. 2 friends and I rented a nice townhouse near Fashion Island. I had to be very frugal, but it worked. We had so much fun, going to the Beach Ball every weekend. That was my one splurge.

Today I make about 200k per year and could not afford to live in that same townhouse. It’s way out of my budget. Times sure do change.

So… we are all wondering: Did you friendzone him all those years? Did you marry him? Or was he a great dude, who happen to be gay? Those are your three options. One is true. Which one was it?

I went to Newport Beach a couple times back in ’97. Looking back on it now, seems a little crazy. I was 19 I think, got stationed at MCAS Tustin in Santa Ana temporarily. Bored on the weekend so a couple fellas and I decide to walk to Newport Beach (we didnt have a car). Stopped at Fashion Island Mall on the way. Then, after we walked the length of Newport Beach we figured why not keep going up to Huntington Beach. Eventually caught a cab back to base. Did that same thing the next weekend.

      Good times
