The last King of Afghanistan, Mohammad Zahir Shah, around 1960. Zahir ruled the country for almost 4 decades from 1933-73. Remembered as a remarkably lenient king, he supposedly never signed a single warrant approving the execution of a citizen for political reasons during his reign (3258×2503)

      As a Afghan myself we hold king Zahir dearly in our hearts, he was the last good ruler for Afghanistan and under his time we had decades of peace.

    2. The fact he had a cute dog proves that he must have been a decent bloke.

    3. What a world we live in when “not killing people for political reasons” is seen as an exceptionally good thing
