Primus: purveyors of some of the beefiest bass lines in the last 30 years.

Odd, why would they not show Buckethead using nunchucks in perfect rhythm to the bass and drums. It was fascinating fascinating to watch this at Ozzfest 99 at Floatrite Amphitheater.

We danced in the rain while Primus played. The crowd wasn’t so much moshing, more like tribal primal dancing. The whole audience screamed the last lyric of this song.

At one point Les Claypool said the word Fuck repeatedly as fast as he possibly could for about a minute straight. This was I response to being told Primus was an odd choice for Ozzfest, because they just didn’t day the word ‘fuck’ enough when they performed.

I swear, you could put me in a one on one conversation with Les and I wouldn’t know it was him. He looks completely different in every appearance.

    5. I was there. No booze allowed, but guys walking around with cardboard signs saying “Weed $5”.

First concert I ever attended was Primus, Pixies and Jane’s Addiction at the Hollywood Palladium in like 1990

    7. Primus is like listening to three very talented musicians with a hobo singing the lyrics 🤣 Love them

Heard someone on Reddit describe Primus as “run through a wall” music and that’s the best description i’ve ever heard.

You don’t hear instruments speaking their language anymore. Makes me sad.

I was a big fan of the first three Primus albums but when My Name of Mud came out I wasn’t a fan. I was moving out of my phase of being in love with this band and his bass playing, is a bass player myself I was looking for some diversity. Still loved him and he taught me so much.

Anyhow they toured and I got to see them for the first time. They opened with My Name is Mud and it was incredible, I got it finally. This is fantastic.

      Side Note:

Today is the release of the latest album from The Claypool Lennon Delirium titled “The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy”.

The band has Les Claypool and Sean Lennon (John’s son)

Their stuff is as odd as you would expect
