      What the right conveniently ignores is that when religious institutions step out of the religious sector – running schools, hospitals, and the like – they’re no longer immune from the rules that govern all public sector institutions.

    6. That would be news to anyone that’s a Muslim. Heck this administration is even at war with the Catholic Church right now. Even Christ isn’t off limits.

      2. Religious restrictions are generally forbidden under the First Amendment
      3. America has the largest Protestant group in the world
      4. Our money literally has “In God We Trust” on it
      5. Our Pledge of Allegiance has “…on nation, under God…” in it
      6. Churches are tax-exempt
      7. the PotUS has had an official Religious Advisor since 2001, and almost all Presidents have had a personal religious consultant
      8. The US has an official “US Day of Prayer” (next week, coincidentally)
      9. The US has traditionally used a Protestant Bible for Presidential inaugurations since George Washington
      10. Protestant presidents are so common in the US, that the acronym “WASP” was created (among other obvious reasons).

      So who the fuck is living in fear for religious practices?

      I’d like to know what he thinks about comments hurled at Ilhan Omar regarding her wearing of religious clothing or simply being Muslim in the first place. I’m sure he’s got a totally-not-dogshit take about how “that’s different” and how she’s still somehow “unamerican”. /s
