    1. And that’s just the tip of the (positive) iceberg. He was one of America’s greatest President.

Guy was also adopted into the Lakota nation, making him technically America’s only American Indian President.

You’re posting a meme about someone and you don’t even know who he is? Or is that just an engagement bait title?

He was called ‘Silent Cal. He once said, ‘If you don’t say anything, you won’t be called on to repeat it,’ which is basically the ultimate life hack.

My favorite Coolidge fact is how many Presidential pets he had in his term.

The KKK had a direct line to Coolidge in the white house despite his speech and the recovery efforts for the Mississippi Flood was rife with racism, leading to scores of black Americans to receive no financial or medical assistance. Coolidge was like most Republicans of this time, always saying the right thing but never doing it because they wanted the white vote above anything else. Also, his economic policies strongly contributed to the great depression. Finally, he passed the immigration act of 1924, a cornerstone policy of the KKK and greatly disenfranchised those deemed inferior to anglo saxons.

He also is most responsible for the era of deregulation that led into the depression.

    8. Mid-lower tier president but his last words are kinda funny, given the context.

President Coolidge come down in a railroad train, with a little fat man with a notepad in his hand. President say, “Little Fat Man, ain’t it a shame
What the river has done to this poor cracker’s land”
(from Randy Newman’s song Louisiana 1927)

Amity Schlaes wrote a good Coolidge biography some years back. He’s kind of a sad figure. Good president though.

“Cost effective way to cut taxes.”

Laissez-faire economics put the power of business into the hands of businessmen. Reduced regulation and protections led to the Roaring 20s and extreme prosperity and then NOTHING BAD HAPPENED EVER.
