As an American aged 60, I can vouch.

Interesting to see the “priority” after 30
Children, alone, coworker and then partner.
I guess partner is also included in children, friends and family though…

I assume this means only in person. If it counted phone calls or things like discord calls, I’d have to imagine the social time would be way higher. So many people I know aged 18-40 talk to friends in group calls frequently.

Oh, it is fucking fabulous. I’m in my 40’s and spend nearly every waking hour without anybody. It is marvelous and exactly how I want to spend my time. I’m not joking. This experience is wonderful. That is how I am built.

Why are family and children different categories? Thatās confusing, I text this while laying in bed with my son/family

I want to move into a retirement home when Iām old. Itāll be like back in dorm life. Playing video games with the boys, chasing old women, popping gummies, binging South Park and Scrubs.

As a hybrid worker, I can tell you that I am alone and lonely most of the time.

How do Americans spend less than 3h per day on average at work?
I work 40h a week. 46 weeks per year (6 weeks of vacation, not subtracting holidays). If i divide that by 365 days I get to a little over 5h. I doubt Americans have more vacation than I do.

As a work from home employee Iām not sure if I spend 8 hours a day with my coworker or 8 hours a day alone. I guess alone⦠makes me curious how much this chart changed post covid.
