That quote is absolutely haunting. Does anyone know if this soldier survived the war?
That quote is heavy. It’s a recurring theme in war, but seeing it handwritten on a wall behind a kid who looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks really hits different.
There’s nothing cool about war.
“Give me 100.000 Croatian soldiers and I will conquer the world.” That’s what the short Corsican was supposed to have said.
My dad got caught up and fought in two wars during the breakup of Yugoslavia, didn’t change anything except divide ourselves among vague superficial lines of microscopic differences.

So croatian language is basically what i did as a child, just reverse. I would write native words in Russian alphabet, while Croatian seems like Russian words in Latin alphabet.

Probably has PTSD. He looks shook and completely un human. Hope he found peace one day.
