    1. What the actual ever loving fuck?! What exactly is the “emergency”?! Dear Leader told him to???

    2. That letterhead makes it look like something I’ve seen in a certain Ken Burns film.

It ends with a federal government that isn’t overrun with fascists anymore imposing martial law on the old slave states, restoring democratic norms, and imprisoning the ringleaders of this fascist insurrection across the country.

    4. Every campaign commercial we see in Louisiana talks about fighting against the Liberals. As if that was ever a threat to to this shithole state. Much like everything Republicans do, everything he does is just a shell game to look like they’re getting things done for constituents, but really only serves to benefit elected officials and corporations. Louisiana is already a deep red state on the national ballots, so this is just to keep Republicans in state oand local ffice because he knows they’ve been fucking up

    5. Specifically, they’re suspending the House primary elections in order to racially redistrict the fuck out of the state before the general election

Welp Luisiana (and all southern states), time to protest and resist with everything you have. It can’t just be the normal managed protests that amount to walking around a city. There has to be disruption of the established order that inhibits corporations from making money.

isent this a good thing? assuming the oposite of close primaries are open ones with fewer crazies winning.

Because if you call it out then you’re accused of being biased towards democrats or liberals, which is of course far worse than fascism.

You can’t run elections on a map that’s been legally invalidated. The executive order is the administrative mechanism to pause them while the legislature redraws.

    10. The desperation of their last chance to cement power.
WhyTF do we even have districts?
Do I think “my” representative knows the issues of my local gerrymandered shapefile?
Why couldn’t we have simple Statewide elections without these games?

When you don’t like what people are saying, stop them from talking. And Democrats are supposedly the ones that hate America?

Remember, the head of the Heritage Foundation did say the latter their “revolution would remain bloodless, so long as the left allows it to be.”

Im going out on a limb here. Making it harder to vote affects both parties. However, MAGA will always vote MAGA. Non MAGA Republicans won’t vote for a Democrat but they may not vote MAGA. So they don’t vote. Independents will either not vote or vote Democrat for change. Rural Republicans will have a harder time voting, and since Trump won’t be running, may not vote. Democrats will vote as if their life depended on it. Am I delusional?
